The 2023 Habitat series arose from a previous collaboration between JP Paul and his former mentor, Arq. Carlos Perez Franco, who was heavily
influential in Paul's architectural explorations and drawing techniques.
Where Perez Franco was a master draftsman with impeccable traditional
modern drawing capabilities demonstrated throughout his 60-year career, JP Paul
incorporates similar approaches with the drawn elements and combines the results with complex layers of acrylic paint, markers, pigment ink overlays, and contemporary finishing.
