About Us

AltSur is an artist founded and operated visual art studio specializing in 21st century contemporary and post-war modern art created by JP Paul, Carlos Perez-Franco, Isabel Perez and collaborators operating throughout the Americas and Southeast Asia. We have provided artworks as well as related products and services to the visual art community since 1986 and have maintained several art-related websites since 2001.

Notable contributors include award-winning international writers and photographers, architects, designers, leading digital imaging specialists and three generations of arts & design educators from all levels of academia. Whether you are looking for quality artworks, art logistics support, technology integration for the arts, printing or publishing, please contact us to discuss the many services that we may provide.

We concentrate on strong post-war/modern established artists and 21st-century contemporary work. Among our artists are storytellers, symbologists, statement makers and aesthetic puzzle solvers. Some search for beauty, others question misconceptions and perceptions. Some answer visual questions, others challenge the very nature of visual art. We strive for a healthy, tolerant and inclusive approach to not only the arts but to life in general.

We're especially inspired by artists who relate to current societies, those who create engaging art featuring content, materials, tools, and concepts to which OUR generations can identify with and actively engage.

We are constantly looking for new sources of collaboration in the form of a physical presence, online representation, or both.
